bollywood strars on cricket ground

Bollywood will come in full force to support India-Sri Lanka World Cup final at the Wankhede stadium on Saturday.

Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan have already booked tickets to watch the match.

Shahrukh, who watched the semifinal with friends Farhan Akhtar, Karan Johar, Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Roshan at his home ‘Mannat’, will catch up the final match at the Wankhede stadium with his family.

“We will win the final also. Inshallah! The kids want to go and see. So I have to go there and watch the finals,” Shah Rukh had declared after India’s win over Pakistan.

Aamir, who was spotted enjoying the semis with wife Kiran Rao in Mohali, too is planning to cheer the Team India from Wankhede.

Akshay Kumar is busy promoting his film Thank You but plans to take time out and watch the match on TV.“I am planning to catch the action from home with my wife and son,” Akshay said.

The celebrities have their own superstitions concerning the match. Abhishek Bachchan had recently declared that he had bought the tickets for final match months ago but now plans to spend the time in front of his TV set.

“We all have our quirks. I watched the semifinals on TV and India won. So I feel couch is lucky… Every Indian develops quirks and becomes superstitious during the match,” said the actor, whose film Game hit theatres on Friday. But the actor seems least bothered about missing on audience for his film to the final match.

“We celebrated Holi after defeating Pakistan and I think we are going to celebrate Dussehra tomorrow,” he said.

Director-producer Farhan Akhtar too is watching the match from home and his superstition revolves around a glass of water.

“A glass of water has to be placed exactly at the same corner of the table during the entire match. If a wicket falls when someone goes to the kitchen, he/she will not be allowed to come back,” Farhan said about his match related quirks.

Salman Khan has been asking his fans opinion about Saturday’s match but he reportedly plans to stay and enjoy the match from home.Actor Madhavan is upset that he will miss the action because of a shooting schedule.

“Off to Kuala Lumpur. Will miss the match in Mumbai…,” he said.
