It seems that Rani Mukherjee was destined for the role of Tina in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai . It was actually Twinkle Khanna for whom the role of Tina was written for. The name for the character Tina came from Twinkle Khanna who has the same nickname. After she turned it down, other actresses such as Urmila Matondkar, Raveena Tandon, Aishwarya Rai and Karisma Kapoor were offered the role of Tina Malhotra.
